Systems Engineer – Outerwall (formerly Coinstar)

 

Part of team that deployed and supported primary ESB/SOA applications in the company.    Provided 24/7 coverage for ESB for integrations central to company business including POS transactions, inventory, payments, accounting, BI, bank transfers, GeoLocation API, etc.  Managed corporate Webmethods integration suite including Integration Server (Java2 EE app server), Broker-JMS, Mediator/Centrasite (UDDI), MWS,  Optimize/Mashzone (KPIs).  Worked w/ developers QA team/network admin/DBA to implement new projects and make changes on existing SOA systems using Java/Jenkins CI/Teamsite.  Worked w/ external partners to resolve issues w/ WSDL and network HTTP cert security.  Performed server configuration and maintenance using scripts and tools.  Did server performance monitoring and resource planning.

 

 

Sr. Web Developer/Web Services Architect/Admin – Holland America Line

Managed Webmethods middleware applications in the company.   Did user requirements gathering/documenting, analysis then prototyping/developing applications using Designer.  Performed unit and system testing using Eclipse Debug/SoapUI.  Worked with vendors to create various integration solutions using Java/Javascript/SOAP/WSDL/REST/XML.  Implemented/configured packages to use Broker for pub/sub requirements. Created database adapter/links to Oracle/SQL Server/MySQL and created/fine-tuned custom SQL for various application uses.

 

Customized Integration Server ESB for high performance/reliability.  Main contact for B2B partners for company API messaging/Trading Networks. Worked w/ server and network teams for security enhancements and protocol resolution including SSL/certificates using Wireshark. Performed IS 6.5to 8.2 upgrades.  Performed long-term planning for middleware hardware/applications including recommending new architecture for corporate SOA systems using standards patterns.  Supported and maintained P2P API with other partners involving credit card applications/authorization, hotel/spa booking and availability, etc.

 

Implemented and customized Autonomy Virage Mediabin , media management solution for corporate and external partner use.  Security protocols were established to have product secure in both in the/out of firewall.  Developed automated process flows for media upload/downloads. Create API calls to service to integrate solution to other company systems.  Technologies used were Apache Tomcat, IIS, ASP.NET/Silverlight, VBScript, LiquidOffice API, SQL Server and  SQL Server Reporting Services.

 

 

BPM Developer  – Holland America Line

 

Delivered corporate BPM information technology solutions that meet the needs and objectives of the business. Provide leadership and collaboration in planning for the effective use of technology to improve and add efficiency to business processes. Responsible for analysis, development, modification, implementation and support of new business processes.

 

Duties include the following:

 

·   Design and publish electronic e-forms to replace paper based forms. Used Autonomy LiquidOffice w/ Javascript, Python and Java. LiquidOffice API and SDK were used to customize code.

·   Design intelligent workflows to replace manual processes using LiquidOffice Form Designer w/ Java, SQL Server 200 and MS Reporting Services.

·   Day-to-day monitoring and support of the Apache Tomcat Servers and associated components/applications.

·   Coordinating w/ system administrators on issues and upgrades.

 

 

IT Engineer – UNIVAR USA

 

Was part of team that was responsible for support and maintenance of core DCS distribution system for US and CANADA systems. Specifically tasked to maintain Manugistics, the company’s automated planning and replenishment system. Was part of team that developed and implemented the common code project between US and CANADA to save company on long term maintenance cost.  Developed processes to transfer mainframe batch/files reports over to the company Sharepoint system and implement user security depending on region/responsibility.

 

 

Senior Programmer/Analyst – Holland America Line

 

Technical Lead to the client/server remote booking systems.   Responsible for maintaining, enhancing external links to company’s main reservation system.  Point of contact in company for technical issues relating to application, connectivity and communications w/ these external vendor systems.  Coordinated with system architects and system programmers for fine-tuning, performance enhancements and upgrades of existing and new software/hardware.  Developed application solutions/enhancements using Webmethods 6.5 to ingest XML for various output systems.

 

 

Senior Programmer/Analyst and Technical Lead - Goldman Sachs

 

Technical lead to the FIRMWIDE Account Master system.   Responsible for maintaining, enhancing and developing a system that is central to the company business.  Team lead for external systems interface w/ account master: Multi-Currency Payment Reporting (MRPS-AM) and GLOSS Download subsystems.  Led ongoing development effort to convert networked IDMS database programs into DB2.
